The International Institute for Human Security notes the sudden death of Marianne Spreng, who was a founding advisor. Marianne’s sudden passing is a shock to both the IIHS and the countless other organizations she supported through her selfless work as a peacemaker for more than half a century.
As a founding advisor to the IIHS, Marianne’s vision for the IIHS was clear and focused. We look forward to advancing her mission with our continued work. In the coming months, we will announce details of a scholarship fund and a yearly event to be held in her honor.
We think of her beloved husband, Christoph Spreng, and her sister, Monica, at this time. Rest in peace, Marianne.
