The 4th Annual IIHSG Conference 2024 is set to take place at Constantia Hall, YWCA, New Delhi, on September 30th and October 1st, 2024. This prestigious event, organized by the Interdisciplinary Institute of Human Security & Governance (IIHSG), has become a crucial platform for discussions on human security. This year marks the fourth time that the International Institute for Human Security (IIHS) has contributed to the event, and once again, we are proud to be a part of this important international dialogue.
A key highlight of the conference is the participation of Dr. Aurora Martin, Vice President of IIHS. Dr. Martin, a Professor and Doctor Honoris Causa at V. Brusov University, will contribute significantly to the discussions. She will be featured during the Inaugural Session (10:00 AM to 11:30 AM IST) on September 30th, where she will deliver a critical address on human security. This participation underscores Dr. Martin’s commitment to advancing human security issues on a global scale, particularly in her capacity as a thought leader in this domain.
Additionally, the IIHS admires the dedication of Dr. Nandini Basistha, Executive Director of IIHSG, for her relentless efforts in organizing this event. Dr. Basistha’s work continues to lay the groundwork for a long-lasting legacy of international dialogue on human security, fostering collaboration between experts and policymakers.
During the conference, a special Book Release Ceremony will be held on September 30th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM IST. Among the featured works is the volume co-edited by Dr. Aurora Martin and Dr. Nandini Basistha, titled “Human Security in a Polarized World”. This book dives into the complexities of human security in an increasingly divided global landscape, addressing issues such as governance, sustainability, and global peace efforts. It represents a comprehensive scholarly effort to explore both traditional and emerging challenges to human security.
As IIHS continues its contributions to this vital global forum, we remain committed to fostering impactful discussions, contributing to research, and supporting initiatives that promote sustainable security measures. The 2024 IIHSG Conference promises to be a powerful gathering of minds, and we look forward to the insights it will generate for the future of human security worldwide.
