#DevelopingEvent | The IIHS-supported project, The Mobile Museum of Modern Day Slavery, will be on the move in Romania across 13 cities from May 3 – 15, 2023.
The Mobile Museum of Modern-day Slavery, founded by Dr. Aurora Martin and supported by the IIHS, is a simulated encounter experience created for use in rural villages to tell the story of human trafficking to those most vulnerable to falling prey and becoming a statistic. The minibus is loaded with paraphernalia to liken it to the real-life experience of the captured and abused. Striking photos, mannequins, and the words of victims to convey the message are also used to emphasize the encounter. The project is supported by local educators, artists, and law enforcement, all eager to support advocacy efforts to end human trafficking.
